Relationships & boundaries

You want to feel close. Somehow, you end up on opposite sides again.

Individual work with the reactions that make it difficult to speak honestly, say no, handle conflict, or build the relationships you want.

These are examples of reactions we can work with in a focused hypnosis session. We choose one response; the wider life situation may need additional support.

Session formats and fees

Saying no without giving in

“I agree before I have even considered what I want. Then I feel angry with myself.”

We look at the guilt, fear of conflict, or bodily tension that makes a boundary hard to hold. The focus is a real situation in which you want to respond differently, while taking practical risks and the other person’s behavior seriously.

A marriage in crisis

“I want to talk calmly. We end up having the same argument.”

An argument about money or chores may also carry questions about trust, attention, or feeling valued. We look at what happens between you and where change is still possible.

Working on a relationship individually

“My partner is not ready to join me. I still want to change how I respond.”

We can work with your reactions, choices, and boundaries without your partner attending. We agree on what is within your influence; changing another person is not the goal of this engagement.

Wanting to leave, but staying

“I know this relationship is hurting me. I still cannot bring myself to leave.”

Fear, guilt, hope, and practical dependence can all be present at once. We separate external constraints from emotional reactions and look for a step you can actually take. The decision remains yours.

Anger and emotional outbursts

“I do not want to lash out at the people I love. Then something takes over.”

Afterwards come guilt and promises to stay calm. We start earlier: what builds up, how you notice tension, and what sets off the familiar response.

After betrayal

“I know I cannot change what happened. I keep checking and reliving it.”

We make room for the loss of trust, anger, humiliation, and the question of what comes next. Forgiveness and staying together are not required outcomes.

Jealousy

“I know my suspicions may be exaggerated. I still keep looking for proof.”

We distinguish reasons for mistrust from anxiety that demands endless reassurance. The work can address the sense of threat while helping you clarify boundaries in the relationship.

Divorce and recovery

“The relationship ended. Part of me still lives inside it.”

Separation changes daily life, friendships, plans, and your sense of who you are. There is room both for grieving and for the practical work of rebuilding a life.

Dating and new relationships

“I want to meet someone. I either keep everyone out or repeat the same pattern.”

We explore what closeness means to you, what you expect, and which warning signs you tend to overlook. One goal may be to approach dating with less defensiveness while staying connected to yourself.

Difficulties with intimacy

“I want intimacy and trust my partner. My body and attention seem to have other plans.”

Shame, tension, self-consciousness, and the need for control can interfere with intimacy. Sessions involve conversation and respect your boundaries. Pain and new physical symptoms need medical assessment first.

Relationships with adult children

“I know she has her own life. I still interfere, feel hurt, and wonder whether I matter.”

As children grow up, closeness needs a different kind of space. We work with worry, expectations, obligation, and ways to stay connected without turning care into control.

Why the pattern persists

Understanding why you argue or fear separation can be helpful. In the actual conversation, hurt, fear, or defensiveness may still take over. We look both at what is happening between you now and at the familiar responses each person brings into the relationship.

Where hypnosis may fit

What we can work toward

  • Recognize a conflict early enough to talk before it escalates.
  • Stay present in difficult conversations, express boundaries, and hear the response.
  • Make decisions about the relationship with greater clarity.
  • Begin rebuilding your own life after separation.

These are possible goals. We agree on your task and signs of progress individually.

What happens in the session

Before we meet

You briefly describe the situation and the change you want. We check suitability and agree on a focus. We can discuss it in writing or have a short call.

During the session

We identify the specific reaction and use hypnosis to work with the feelings, sensations, and underlying emotional pattern connected to it.

At the end of the hour

We return to the situation and assess what has changed. We discuss what to notice in everyday life and whether any further work would be useful.

Will you try to persuade me to stay or leave?

No. We examine your situation and the reactions that interfere with your judgment. The decision remains yours.

Does working on myself mean accepting hurtful behavior?

No. We take the other person’s behavior and your circumstances seriously. The goal may include a boundary, distance, or getting other support.
