Depression & loss of meaning
Low mood, exhaustion, emptiness, or the sense that life has lost its flavor. One word can describe very different stories. We can begin with yours.
You can begin with how you feel now. On the introductory call, we can discuss your situation and whether this work makes sense.
Free 20-minute discovery call“I do everything I need to do, but I no longer feel much of anything.”
Sometimes the word depression describes exhaustion after a long period of holding things together. It can help to look beyond how much you sleep and notice what takes your energy before the day has even begun.
“I achieved what I worked for. Why do I feel so empty?”
Life can look successful from the outside while its sense of meaning disappears. Advice to rest more or find a hobby may miss what matters. We can explore what has lost its meaning and what you have not allowed yourself to want.
“I say I just feel bad. But I think there is something underneath.”
The heaviness may contain fear, guilt, shame, resentment, loss, or older emotional pain. We do not force your story into a ready-made answer; we pay attention to what emerges from your experience.
People use the word depression for different experiences: biochemical conditions, responses to circumstances, difficult transitions, or a loss of meaning. Hypnosis does not claim to treat biochemical depression. In our work, I offer a way to explore the feelings, images, and inner conflicts that may be part of your particular story.
Where hypnosis may fit →These are possible goals. We agree on your task and signs of progress individually.

We identify the specific reaction and use hypnosis to work with the feelings, sensations, and underlying emotional pattern connected to it.
We look at what is changing in your experience and everyday life. We return to your goals and adjust the direction of the work when needed.

Sebastian Kristof
I combine medical training, behavioral science, software and systems thinking, and advanced hypnosis training. My style is analytical and focused on what keeps a particular reaction in place.
I do not push advice or offer motivational cheerleading. I help you use your own knowledge and resources, without requiring you to explain more than is necessary for the work.

More about my training and background →You may have a particular reaction in mind, or a pattern that runs through several parts of your life. We use hypnosis to work with what keeps it in place and help you find more freedom in how you respond. The focus and pace grow out of your situation.
Working together →No. You can begin by telling me what is happening. On the introductory call we can discuss whether this work makes sense for your situation.
Yes. Please tell me about it before we begin. Hypnosis here does not replace your clinician or prescribed treatment.
